I am sitting on my bed spending my friday night at home, in my room watching my favorite chick flicks with a bag of popcorn and a green facial! At the moment, I am watching Mean Girls, probably the most hilariously awesome movie of all time. Anyhoo, Now I am going to totally go back to 7th grade and do one of those cheesy myspace surveys because I have nothing better to blog about!

5. One of your stuffed animals' names as a kid?:hmm, lets see, there was my bear that I creatively named, "baby"
6. Did you ever own at one time a Nysnc Cd?: heck yes. I still have them, too!
7. Favorite day of the week?: saturday saturday saaaaturdaay

9. Did you take Piano lessons?: I did in 3rd and 4th grade and I quit like a dummy.
10. Most frequent song played?:probably, "Bright Lights" by matchbow 20 or "Drops of Jupiter" by train. they be my favorites

12. Would you rather play basketball or hockey?:hockey. b-ball bores me and I suck at it.

52. How old were you when you first moved away from your hometown?: I dont know what to consider my hometown

55. When you snuck out of your house for the first time, who was it with?: I have never snuck out of MY house because our house beeps when you open a door...but I rolled a yard the first time I snuck out of my friends house.

57. Where did you live the first time you moved out of your parent's house?: I live at home still. kinda like most other 17 year olds in the whole world.

I hope you get to listen to some of these, if not all of them. I really think the music of today is going down the drain and keeps getting worse. So I choose to listen to less popular, but just as amazing artists. And if you can't tell already, I kinda like mellow, acoustic-y music that makes you wanna smile.

Last night was our AristoCats retreat and the object of the weekend was to encourage others. For our final activity, we had warm fuzzy time where we passed a sheet of paper with our name on it for everybody to write something encouraging or sweet on it, anonymously. Here are some of my favorites:

my wish for you

I wish school didn't start in 10 days.

I wish I could take good pictures and learn how to work my camera.

I wish for my senior year to be memorable and fun.

I wish I could have had time to go to Mississippi for a week-long visit like I have every summer.

I wish I could get a job in a non-fast food place.

I wish I was tan.

I wish All Shook Up didn't go by so fast.

I wish I was still in Disney World and summer was just getting started.

I wish I ate less junk food.

with a new school year brewing around the corner, I have decided that it is time to make some resolutions. A to-do list of things that I want to complete during my final year living at home as a highschool student.

1. Get a job. I am tired of never having money to spend and borrowing from my brother or from mom. I am going to apply for a job at the movie theatre.

2. Scrapbook more. I want to make a senior memory/scrapbook so that I can have a place to keep all my pictures and mementos from this year.

3. Go to a concert. preferably Maroon 5 in August in Chattanooga with Kris Allen opening for them. yes.

4. Learn to stick up for myself. Or at least try to do it more. I have never been able to stand up for myself when I am under pressure. Instead, I tend to cry because I am upset over being betrayed or walked all over. I always think of comebacks too late and that does me no good.

5. Thank each of my best friends for being my best friends. They are hard to come by and I am extremely grateful that I have them. Even though sometimes I blow them off or dont hang out with them as much as I should, they still somehow want to be my friend...

6. Continue to write my Compassion child, Abdu. He is living in a less fortunate world and I know he loves it when he recieves a letter from me. Maybe I could even send him a present for his birthday.

7. Find a new church.

8. Blog more. I love doing it, sometimes I neglect it because I have more important things to do. It's satisfying to type about my life on my blog for whoever wants to read them.

9. Plan a senior trip with my friends. Not Destin or Panama City. But instead somewhere less popular, but just as fun. Like a charming little beach town.
